Chemical hearts and hands. In movies you often don't related to certain plot points or characters. But for me, Chemical Hearts is very relatable. I could often fine myself relating to Henry and his situation (not as severe) but with the fact his parents have such a simple strong relationship, as well as having to deal with the fact the person you might love, might not love you back in the same way.
The actors played their roles to perfection, both having such organic dialogue making the chemistry even more organic.

A sort of "limbo" as the movie sees it, a journey which oftentimes feels too painful to endure, but a necessary bridge we must all cross over if we hope to ever get to the other side, alive and intact, ready to face the future stretching before us, a future of infinite possibilities that we alone can shape and live.

Chemical hearts cast. I had such high hopes for this as I love both Lili and Austin as actors. I made the mistake of reading the book prior to watching the film and found myself comparing the two throughout. The movie just did not do justice to how incredible the book was. Obviously details, characters, and things are bound to be left out in any adaptation but there were unnecessary things changed. For example Henry's parents in the books are trusting, laid back, and very relaxed in their parenting but in the movie they made them look just the opposite. What is the purpose of that? There were just a lot of weird choices/changes. I did enjoy the cinematography and the music. I just was overall disappointed in how they brought this book to life. Read the book.
